The Purpose:
- Ensure that eftpos products and services are working per requirements and specifications through various testing activities prior to each release/deployment
- Provide technical expertise and support to eftpos members and their service providers in testing and certifying eftpos product services and solutions
This is a 12 month Fixed term contract
Responsibilities of the role will cover the following key areas:
- Scope, define and maintain certification requirements and processes for eftpos products and services by liaising
- Create/maintain test plans and test strategy; define/maintain test tools for testing and certification drawing on technical expertise in EMV standards and eftpos specifications.
- Review and validate, test/certification reports. Liaise with vendors and suppliers for testing/certification deliverables and perform acceptance and integrating testing.
- Update, maintain, and distribute certification and testing documentation and minimize production issues by ensuring adequate test coverage on testing.
- Design and implement automation frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of software requirements and technical specifications to identify potential areas for automation.
- Execute manual testing as needed, particularly in scenarios where automation is not feasible or practical.
The skills & knowledge you need to have:
- At least more than 1 year of experience in the payment industry is mandatory with an overall 5-8 years of experience with a focus on automation testing.
- Proficiency in one of the scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (REST, SOAP).
- Experience with testing APIs using SOAP UI, Postman, Ready API, or any similar tool is mandatory.
