The Role
Based on-site at Kanmantoo Copper Mine reporting to the Mill Processing Supervisor, you are responsible for assisting to ensure copper concentrate production targets are met whilst maintaining a safety focus and environmentally responsible attitude. In conjunction with monitoring and operating a dedicated area you will also be trained in additional areas to build your knowledge of the processing plant.
As an experienced Processing Operator your attention to detail will ensure the safety of individuals by assessing and mitigating risks, fostering our company’s core values and strengthening internal working relationships. You will have a strong focus on quality, learn monitor plant process and equipment behaviour, provide feedback to improve reliability and safe operation of plant equipment.
Fundamentals
Prior experience in Mill Processing will lead to success with a focus on these key areas:
- Operate areas in the processing mill including Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Dewatering and ROM pad operation.
- Safely operate the plant by controlling, monitoring, adjusting, fixing, recording and cleaning.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of the mill against operating targets and make suggestions for modifications and changes to improve or rectify concerns as they occur.
- Routinely inspect equipment reporting or repairing any faults within scope.
- Operate mobile equipment to assist with housekeeping.
