Job DescriptionAs a
Senior Tools Programmer, you'll collaborate closely with our development and engineering teams to ensure our tools are efficient and effective in creating cutting-edge games. From optimising and enhancing game engine tools to maintaining continuous integration systems, you'll play a pivotal role in streamlining our development process and empowering our teams to do their best work.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the game development team to understand their needs and develop efficient tools that streamline the development process.
- Optimise and enhance game engine tools in collaboration with the engineering team, tackling technical challenges and improving workflow.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration system configurations.
- Keep existing tools up-to-date in accordance with the latest changes in the development pipeline and the needs of the team.
- Expand and improve engine tools to increase workflow efficiency, continuously iterating on existing features and integrating new functionalities.
- Document and communicate tool features, updates, and best practices to the development team.
- Provide continuous support to team members throughout all stages of development.
Qualifications- Proficient in C++ and game engines, preferably Unreal Engine.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise tools and workflows.
- Experience in software development with a focus on gaming industry practices.
- Familiarity with continuous integration systems and build configurations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with development and engineering teams.
- Passion for gaming and technology, with a desire to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
