- assessing the impacts of proposed developments on walking, cycling, public transport and traffic
- providing reliable, well-researched and balanced advice consistent with the organisation’s position, to achieve desired outcomes in complex inner-city contexts
- maintaining effective relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders and balancing their competing interests
- using data and evidence to understand issues and tell compelling stories
- communicating complex information to a diverse audience in a way that encourages engagement and advances the City’s positions
The candidate should have a thorough understanding of the NSW planning system, as well as land use and transport planning theory and their associated challenges in dense urban environments. They should be able to use their knowledge and experience to help progress the City’s vision and objectives through the advice they provide.
