Job description

The Queensland Revenue Office (QRO) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Web Content Editor to join the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting to plan, manage and develop online and print content in a client-centric environment. You will work with content owners across QRO's business areas to develop and confirm objectives, requirements, and milestones in the creation of innovative best-practice content solutions.

The key responsibilities and duties of the role include the following:

  • Edit, review, maintain and publish QRO and chatbot online content.
  • Edit print material (e.g. correspondence, fact sheets, user guides) to ensure consistency across all media.
  • Mentor, advise and guide staff on web writing and plain English.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders identify and develop online strategies that improve client service.
  • Liaise with Queensland Government franchise teams to publish content when needed.
  • Represent QRO at franchise meetings and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of whole-of-government web environment.
  • Analyse, develop and improve processes that support and drive best practice.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, and, where relevant, negotiate the implementation of recommended outcomes.
  • Ensure relevant quality standards and quality assurance procedures are adhered to during all projects.
  • Establish and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Extensive experience in writing for the web using plain English.
  • Experience in content management systems and understanding of chatbot use.
  • Strong understanding of client experience and how to structure content to improve it.
  • Outstanding communication skills including the ability to negotiate effective outcomes
  • Excellent time management, organisation skills and attention to detail.
