About the Role
The Senior Work Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management of the Work Health & Safety frameworks and providing accurate, practical, and specialised advice, conducting investigations and in-house trainings.
Duties
- Lead the development, and interpretation of policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide expert and strategic advice as required.
- Monitor team performance to ensure it meets operational and budget allocation requirements.
- Oversee the cycle of workers compensation, including dispute management, rehabilitation management and return-to-work plans.
- Conduct annual Work Health and Safety audits.
- Deliver comprehensive reports about management systems, policies and procedures, and relevant requirements.
- Diploma in Work Health & Safety qualifications
- Class C Australian driver’s licence
- Extensive experience in Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, codes of practice and relevant Australian Standards
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
