Join Our Team as a Residential CareSenior Worker
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Junction Support Services is seeking a dedicated Residential CareSenior Worker to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Team Manager to lead our Residential Care team in delivering high-quality services that support the goals and aspirations of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and Leadership: Assist the Team Manager in leading the Residential Care team to ensure the provision of excellent service.
Individualised Support: Help residents achieve their goals and aspirations through personalized Care and Placement Plans.
Relationship Building:** Foster strong relationships within the young person’s support system to ensure comprehensive care.
Team Engagement: Engage and support the team in implementing daily arrangements that meet the needs and aspirations of residents.
Capacity Building: Support staff development under the guidance of the Team Manager, promoting a strengths-based, person-centred approach.
About the role:
- Permanent (Subject to funding)
- 64 hour fortnightly contract - fixed roster system between Monday - Sunday (including day, afternoon & active night shifts)
Selection Criteria:
- A relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Youth Work, Welfare, Disability, or Community Services).
- Understanding of the developmental and therapeutic needs of young people who have experienced complex trauma.
- Ability to build staff capacity and provide effective shift support and guidance.
- Proven skills in motivating, supporting, and communicating effectively with young people at risk and exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Capability to provide consistent care based on individual and group needs and abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills.
