About you
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with experience in mechanical design preferably in water / wastewater projects you will have experience but not limited to,
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant standards (e.g., Australian and WASA standards).
- Developed data analysis skills, including the use of excel, PowerBI or other data analysis platform to develop advanced calculations.
- An understanding of digital design and BIM, including data capture and modelling. Preferably with familiarity with Autodesk or Bentley software such as Revit, MicroStation or OpenPlant.

Your opportunity
Join a driven and agile Water Team based in Sydney solving water-related problems across New South Wales, Australia, and the Globe. As our Mechanical Engineer, you will be working closely with the wider New South Wales and Australian water teams undertaking the design and optimisation of water and wastewater systems, including
networks, pump stations and treatment plants.
- Undertake mechanical design development for water & wastewater equipment and piping including, P&IDs, pump & compressor calculations, equipment sizing, specification and selection, valve selection etc in line with Industry and Mott MacDonald standards
- Collaborating with the wider water team and other disciplines to achieve the most efficient design outcome
- High level of motivation and dedication and the ability to work in a team environment and under pressure #LI-MW1
