SEO Specialist

T2 has an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEO Specialist to join our Digital Tea-m!
Reporting into the Ecommerce Manager, the SEO Specialist is responsible for leading SEO strategy and execution for T2 resulting in improved search engine rankings, traffic, and conversion for T2 websites. This role demonstrates expert proficiency with SEO content optimisation, keyword targeting, data analysis, and technical SEO.

Success Measures

• Develop and maintain monthly and ad-hoc SEO reports that provide actionable insight and performance analysis.
• Compile and deliver SEO training sessions for the wider business as required.
• Keep up to date on the latest key industry trends, Google algorithms and SEO best practices, strategies, and technologies.
• Perform detailed site audits to identify technical SEO issues such as errors, redirect loops, duplicate content, sitemap discrepancies, and more.
• Identify new targeting opportunities and make recommendations.
• Troubleshoot underperforming keywords, pages and site sections and provide solutions to fix.
• Work closely with internal teams to provide guidelines for product naming conventions and descriptions based on keyword and competitive research.
• Work with the ecommerce team to define optimised page titles, heading tags, meta descriptions and other SEO copy as required.
• Engage in ethical link-building activities in conjunction with marketing teams.
• Partner with Paid Search teams to improve overall brand & non-branded visibility to drive SEM and SEO efficiencies and synergies.

Your skills

• Deep knowledge of SEO methodologies, including information architecture, keyword research, technical audits, content writing and linking strategies.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush and AHrefs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and web coding specifically for on-page SEO implementations (e.g., H1, schema.org).
• Experience with XML sitemaps, Robots.txt, meta tags, canonical tags, Hreflang tags, link attributes, HTTP status codes, and URL redirects.
• Strong copywriting skills, and ability to edit content to drive SEO results.
• Exceptional communication skills - experience developing reporting and delivering presentations.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in SEO in a retail ecommerce environment is advantageous!
