One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a talented Service Designer to assist with the development of their digital strategy with the aim to identify and research any gaps across the department. The role can be based in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Melbourne with flexible working arrangements available. The successful Service Designer will be offered a contract until December 2025 and receive a rewarding hourly rate!
The successful Service Designer will be responsible for the below:
- Contribute to design and delivery of service design artefacts and communication materials.
- Deliver workshop design and facilitation to support effective information gathering, cocreation, conceptualisation, and problem-solving activities.
- Deliver contextual research and insights or utilise supplied research to identifying opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations in a succinct and human-centred way.
The successful Service Designer will have experience in the following:
- Knowledge in human-centred design methods with a focus on Service Design/ Strategy/ Research.
- Experience in leading customer centred design activities including customer research, problem solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping and testing solutions.
- Knowledge in service design methodologies and tools
- Experience with process mapping and process improvement development and implementation.
