The Role
The Service Planning and Events Officer is responsible for preparing and distributing “Special Train Notices”, developing train service schedules and organising replacement passenger transport services to supplement planned track closures. The role also attends to Special Events on behalf of Special Events Coordinator as directed.
In this position you will develop reports as required for the various operational areas and collate key statistical information with regards to passenger utilisation and train performance.
About you
The successful candidate will have well-developed verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Relevant experience in large scale urban passenger public transport service at an operational or planning level.
- Relevant project and/or contracts management skills.
- Well developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to use your initiative.
- Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of Office products.
- Relevant experience in the use of contemporary quantitative analysis computer software.
