We are looking for a very special person to replace our Super Service Station Manager who is retiring after 14 years.
Elcho Island is an indigenous community of the NT coast. It is serviced biweekly via barge and daily by commercial flights (except Sunday).
The successful applicant needs to be self-reliant, practical and enjoy remote regions. The work is consistent and not normally stressful. Duties include but are not limited to;
-Weekly ordering to meet barge loading schedules.
-Receiving Diesel, Opal and general retail goods
-Merchandising and monitoring stock levels
-Retail sales
-Managing customer accounts
-Be easy going and generally happy with life
-Hours are 8-4pm 6 days per week.
-The bowsers are accessible by customers 24 hours by EFTPOS card reader.
We will provide basic accommodation on site, a vehicle, 4 weeks leave per year, a generous salary for the right person and a unique environment rarely experienced by balanda.
The role is for a single person but if a couple were successful alternative employment can be provided for the second person on the island in a retail/takeaway environment.
