Service Technician (Af7542)

Our client has an exciting opportunity for you to become a key part of their Caravan Dealership in the Newcastle Region. A change to join one of Australia’s fastest growing caravan company’s, with several well-established very successful Dealerships already operating in NSW and QLD.

We are currently looking for a Caravan Technician or experienced tradesperson with transferrable skills looking for an exciting new challenge. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for fitting accessories, preparing for sale, servicing, and the possibility of carrying out some minor repairs to a wide range of new and used caravans and RV’s.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Preparing caravans ready for customer handover.
• Fitting of aftermarket accessories and appliances.
• Diagnosing and resolving problems with vans; wiring, water leaks etc.
• Moving caravans around the Dealership. 
• Scheduled servicing and maintenance of caravans.
• Some warranty repairs.
• Some light fabrication work.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience with caravan repairs is desirable but not essential.
• Troubleshooting / diagnostic skills.
• Excellent presentation with a professional and friendly disposition.
• High levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Hold a current NSW driver’s licence.
