The principal focus of this role is to:
- Operate and maintain the Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance
- Trouble shoot process issues
- Prepare activity and work order reports
- Maintain plant inventories
- Communicate with site operations personnel
- Assist with additional site requirements e.g. pipe installation and repair fittings, upgrades etc.
- Assisting in the management of asset registers and asset life cycle
- Travel to sites, including Perth metropolitan and regional areas of WA.
- Perform on site routine maintenance activities, including, but not limited to, Reverse Osmosis membrane cleaning, cartridge/bag filter replacement, calibration of instrumentation.
- Maintenance, monitoring and adjustment of water treatment plants and associated equipment to meet plant performance indicators.
- Completion of site service reports detailing the work performed and maintaining customer records, while maintaining clear and professional communication
- Respond to callouts for service/repair, and to accident/emergency callouts.
- Prepare equipment and asset improvement recommendations if required.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues efficiently
- Workshop duties including assisting in the building of equipment in between scheduled service work.
- Participation in workshop factory acceptance testing (FAT) and commissioning on site.
- To ensure that all assets of the Company are maintained at the highest level and used to the maximum benefit of the Company.
- Compliance with company and client on-site workplace policies and procedures.
- Certificate III in Water Treatment is desirable
- Minimum 2 years’ operational experience
- Computer/iPad literacy
- Demonstrated problem solving capability
- Initiative to manage unexpected issues independently
- Good communication skills
- Technical expertise in water treatment systems
- Commitment to safety and adherence to strict safety guidelines
- Proficient mechanical skills and a passion for practical work
- Capability to comprehend and interpret technical schematics
- Possession of a valid C-class manual licence
