We are currently seeking a Service/Commissioning Technician – Security to join our HBS Darwin NT team. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, your focus will be to service customer sites with a focus on EACS, CCTV and Alarm systems, to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize customer site downtime by providing exceptional technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Service and maintenance of Honeywell and third-party equipment (training provided).

·         Day to day servicing and maintenance.

·         Commissioning of pre-installed security equipment.

·         Configuration of security systems hardware and software.

·         Diagnose faults and repairs on security systems.

·         Software load and configuration of Honeywell EBI / DVM Systems.

·         Small to medium project installations including working with subcontractors.

·         Financial control according to previously agreed budgets and plans.

·         Development and maintenance of site-specific documentation and quality assurance information as instructed by Team Leader

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

·         Experience as Security Technician or Electrician, customer facing and/or similar.

·         Electrical experience: - Basic knowledge of electrical diagrams and electrical switching.

·         Commitment to customer satisfaction.

·         Good communication - both verbal and written.

·         Self-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision.

·         An ability to work under pressure.

·         A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.

·         Ability to obtain NV1

Valid driver’s licence.

Ability to be on call, work a rotating roster when required.
