The Quality Improvement and Patient Experience is a multidisciplinary service committed to supporting and influencing quality, safety and improvement at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and includes:
- Quality Improvement
- Patient Experience
- Clinical Governance and National Standards
- Patient Safety, Risk Management
- Community Engagement
- And you will gain experience in and knowledge of, the many aspects of Quality and Patient Safety
Your new role:
- Ensure adherence to clinical risk management policies and procedures and staff are aware of requirements
- Facilitate the review of serious incidents/sentinel events including completion of associated documentation and reports for the Patient Safety Committee
- Communicate and reinforce all aspects of the Clinical Governance Framework - STEP
- Ensure NSQHS and Aged Care requirements are communicated to clinical staff and facilitate compliance with the standards
About you:
- Understanding of the public health system and hospital operations, priorities and constraints
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of Quality Improvement and Risk Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated project management experience , utilising established project management methodology including the ability to prioritise and deliver project outcomes within specified timeframes
- A minimum of intermediate level competency of Microsoft
