As a Settlement Analyst, you will ensure technical and platform needs are met across Blackhawk Network, APAC, whilst working closely with various business stakeholders to understand constraints, requirements, priorities and partner with IT on development and implementation.
This role will see you working from our North Sydney office two days per week, and the rest at your preference (onsite or virtual).
- Reconciliation, creation, and distribution of reporting events to assigned clients
- Billing distribution to assigned clients, within contractual parameters
- Interface with clients as needed to resolve reporting inquiries
- Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies among various systems
- Draft electronic funds transfer payments for client disbursement
- Journal entries as assigned
- UAT (user acceptance testing) participation and validation for new projects
- Quality control reviews on completed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitoring and validation within the platforms to ensure processing is timely and complete; manage exceptions with responsible parties
- Reconcile and analyse current reconciliations with business reported issues
- Manage reconciliation issues internally and externally for timely resolution
- Report statistical information on monthly transaction volumes
- Evaluate existing operating procedures and recommends modifications to improve quality, controls and efficiency
- Maintain adequate documentation of processes, procedures and internal controls
- Data integrity management through exception processing
- Initiate departmental process review to identify and determine areas of improvement
- Work with internal and external auditors
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Up to 3 years' experience in accounting, settlement or financial services (desirable)
- Strong reconciliation skills and the ability to work with and manipulate large quantities of data
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate level. Strong competency in SQL, Access, Visio (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail, motivated to ensure accuracy of own work and drive tasks to completion
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work well within defined timelines
- Effective communication skills - with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members both internally and externally
