About the role:
We are seeking a competent commercial machinist sewers with an eye for detail, able to meet production deadlines. The right applicant will have the following:
- Ability to read and interpret patterns
- Knowledge of various types of fabrics and materials used in upholstery
- Proficient in the use of upholstery tools and equipment (walking foot, twin needle, overlocker)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills and attention to detail
- Meet production timelines, quality control and oversee employee safety/housekeeping.
Experience:
- Experience in upholstery, desired
- The ability to measure accurately.
- Basic Inventory control knowledge
Other requirements:
- Pre-employment medical and instant drug and alcohol test will be required for successful candidates
- Police clearance with 6 months validity required
