Shark Dive Supervisor

If the thought of delivering magic to over a million guests every year makes you smile, then we have an amazing opportunity for you to join our team here at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium as a Shark Dive Supervisor.
About the Role
This role leads a small team of Dive Instructors who connect guests with sea life through delivering our Shark Dive Xtreme experience. Key aspects of this role will be:

  • Responsible for the efficient functioning of daily operations relating to Shark Dive Xtreme (SDX).
  • Actively fulfil all Shark Dive Instructor duties as prescribed in the Shark Dive Instructor job description and act as a role model for other members of the team.
  • Provide dive cover in the instance of SDX Instructor lateness or sickness
  • Monitor staff productivity and performance to ensure efficient functioning of daily operations and labour productivity.
  • Ensure staffing / roster is managed efficiently, effectively and within budget.
  • Ensure payroll completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
  • Work with the Marketing and PR department, drive SDX media promotions to increase visitation and drive sales.
  • Work with Commercial Department to manage merchandise and maximise sales opportunities through coaching and mentoring SDX staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience.
  • Monitoring safety and presentation within the SEA LIFE Aquarium facility.
  • Assisting all other SEA LIFE Aquarium departments according to operational requirements.
About You
· Demonstrated ability to be flexible, cope with frequent and unpredictable changes to daily routine and workloads, and to work, at times under high pressure.
· Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work unsupervised, assess tasks, and set priorities for self.
· SCUBA Diver- Open Water Instructor
· Current First Aid / CPR / Oxygen Administration.
· Current (or willingness to obtain at own expense) NSW Working with Children Check.
· Full NSW Driver's License.
