The Opportunity
We are looking for an individual who is competent in using machinery such as laser cutters, turret punches, guillotines and press brakes with programming experience.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Thursday 7:00AM-3:00PM and Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM. Overtime and afternoon shift work available.
- Operate Sheet Metal machinery
- Cert III in Engineering - Light fabrication or similar
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding workflow
- Desirable - Computer programming with AP100 software
- Desirable - Scheduling with ERP system
- Read and interpret work orders and drawings for specifications.
- Visually inspect all work to ensure quality and accurate job specification
- Must be able to work unsupervised at times and effectively in a team environment
- Inspecting tools, maintaining machinery and complete an End of Day Shut Down
- Manage material storage and stock control
- Report any abnormality for any jobs
- Undertaking a daily 5S routine
- Communicate with team members and other departments regarding scheduling and prioritisation of jobs
- Check all scheduling systems periodically throughout the day
