Intercon Engineering, a small engineering and construction company based in South-West Sydney is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to support the workshop and site crews on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday from 7:00AM – 5:00PM and half days on Saturdays depending on work volume).
About the role:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install Sheet Metal products and components including ductwork, HVAC systems, and roofing according to specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings, following established installation techniques and procedures.
- Generate bill of materials, work procedures and schedules as required.
- Inspect and test finished products and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, identifying and troubleshooting issues or defects in Sheet Metal products or installations and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing tools and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental standards and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries or environmental harm while working with Sheet Metal and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members, such as engineers, trades personnel, supervisors, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, cost effectively, and meet client requirements.

- Ability to work with Word and Excel, with proficiency in CAD software valued (but not mandatory).
- At least five years job experience on project sites.
- Relevant trade certifications and qualifications.
- Self-sufficient transport to and from sites.
