Form of workVollers Pty Ltd is looking for a full time sheetmetal worker that is either a third year TAFE or Tradesman. Below is the type of qualifications that the ideal applicant should possess. You may still be considered for the position but this would depend on your qualifications and level of experience, as future training would be given to the successful applicant.
The duties and responsibilities are listed below.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met.
- Being able to select gauges and types of sheet metal such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, colorbond etc.
- Manually layout and mark dimensions and reference pints on material to develop patterns of product or parts,
- Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakepress, CNC Turret Punch, CNC Fibre Laser and sheetmetal rolls.
- Operating welding equipment, having the ability to weld various types of materials.
- Finishing/cleaning work to welds
- Joining metal sections by other means, rivets, screws & bolts.
- Verifiable previous sheet metal experience
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings and fabricate from same
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to sheet metal trade
