Proudly Australian and privately owned company, Unique Metals Laser's history stretches back to 1972. Unique Metals Laser provide high precision cutting and fabrication solutions to a variety of industries. We have 8 sites across Australia, with our corporate office located in Coopers Plains,Queensland.

We are currently seeking to full multiple roles within our company, including:

• Sheetmetal Tradesworker
• Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson
• Metal Machinist (First Class)

Sheetmetal Tradesworker

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, and also hold a Certificate III in Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Welding and fabrication of various works
• Aluminium, Stainless and Mild steel welding - Mig and Tig
• Interpret drawings and specifications
• Fit and assembly of components into final products by welding, riveting, or otherwise joining
• Performing QA checks
• Polishing, filing, sanding, TIG brush, or cleaning assembled products

Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson

Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
• Prepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimates.
• Design and execute engineering experiments to create solutions
• Develop engineering diagrams and technical reports
• Complete required technical and regulatory documents

Metal Machinist

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting and operating a CNC machine
• Reviewing job specifications and analysing drawings
• Ensuring component quality
• Using precision measuring instruments
• Materials handling
• Operating a forklift
• Ad hoc tasks as directed by Production Manager

The successful applicants for the above roles will be offered a salary of $70,000.
