Sheetmetal Worker

In partnership with our client located at Wacol, we are seeking experienced Sheetmetal Workers for Temp to Perm opportunities.   Our client, 100% Australian owned, specialises in manufacturing and distributing building systems.  
 
Duties will include:

• Interpret and check drawings for fabrication and welding requirements.
• The ability to work with a range of materials including: Stainless steel, Mild steel and Aluminium.
• CAD work: create and modify files as required.
• Setting up of metalwork machinery and equipment
• Double-checking design specifications before commencing work.
• Fabricating and constructing metal components to a high standard within specified tolerances.
• Adhering to time frames set out by team leader
• Sanding and finishing of manufactured products.
• Performing quality checks on completed products.
• Ensure all activities adhere to quality, health and safety standards.
• Provide a safe working environment with a focus on quality outcomes.
• Training of apprentices and staff as required
• Comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Be aware of the company’s and your own obligations under the Occupational Health and
• Safety Regulations as well as the company’s documented Quality Management system.
• Be aware of the companies and your own obligations under the relevant Environmental Regulations.
• Ensure the company’s Quality Assurance objectives are met.
• Work in a team environment.

The successful candidate will possess:

• CERTIFICATE III IN ENGINEERING - FABRICATION TRADE
• Sheet metal background or experience
• CNC experience not required by highly regarded
• Current forklift license
• Australian Drivers license
