Our Corporate Head Office is located in Gordonvale, just south of Cairns, and our major milling assets are located in the Far North. Internationally, we are part of the Thai-based Mitr Phol Group. Our current assets include three sugar mills, which are located at Gordonvale, South Johnstone and the Tablelands, supporting infrastructure (including cane railway networks), agricultural property and water rights to support our cane growing activities.
In addition to our milling and farming operations, we have built an $86M green energy power station at our Tablelands Sugar Mill. The power station uses a 100% renewable sugarcane fibre known as bagasse to produce 24 megawatts of electricity – which, after commissioning, will be enough to power every house in the Tablelands region.

The Role
The Shift Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing factory electrical and processes control systems. Further duties of this role include maintaining the electrical plant to ensure downtime is minimised as far as practical and ensuring all required plant checks are undertaken.
Required skills:
- Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanics Licence or equivalent
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Basic computer skills required to use the computer-based control systems
- Ability to read schematics and P&ID’s
- Ability to work a continuous shift roster
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
It would be advantageous that you have:
- Certificate III Instrumentation
- PLC/DCS exposure
- HC Access and Isolation
- Confined Space
- Working at Heights
- Rigging, Dogging or Scaffolding
