Shift Electrician

About the Role:An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Shift Electrician to ensure the availability, reliability and capability of plant assets in a beef operation at our Longford Plant. Longford, Tasmania is just 20 minutes southwest of Launceston.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Ensure the availability, reliability and capability of the plant assetsMonitor, follow up and address issues associated with the implementation and progress of planned and unplanned maintenance tasksContinuous improvement of plant equipment and systemsCommunication with management in relation to equipment and maintenance issuesUnderstand and implement quality control techniquesProactive approach in the implementation of preventative maintenanceBe actively involved with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repairAbout you:A grade electrical trade qualifications and experienceAbility to work on both day and afternoon shifts.Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally food or beverageA thorough understanding of maintenance work management practicesProven experience with PLC's & trouble shootingUnderstanding of work planning and scheduling proceduresExperience gained from a large heavy industry organisationSound computer skillsEffective and efficient problem-solving skillsThorough understanding and knowledge of OH&S regulations/proceduresHigh attention to detailAbility to work weekends where requiredAbility to work autonomously and in a team environmentBenefits include (but not limited to):Heavily discounted meat productsRetail discounts with national partnersHealth insurance discounts on Bupa Health and Medibank PrivateRelocation assistance on offerWhat next?If you’re passionate and want to be a part of the largest meat, pork and salmon manufacturer and producer in Australia, this opportunity may be for you.
