The primary purpose of a Shift Leader is to provide assistance to the a with staff monitoring, production and machinery issues.
KEY JOB AREAS:
Ensuring the Process Workers and Machine Operators are fulfilling their roles and provide assistance where needed
Ensure Process Workers and Machine Operators are following the correct procedures
Report any quality, production or machinery issues to the Senior Supervisor.
Report any personnel issues to the Senior Supervisor
Check to ensure Process Workers and Machine Operators have completed paperwork correctly
Organise morning tea and lunch breaks
Ensure the production areas are maintained in a clean and organized condition
Other general duties as instructed by the Senior Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility to follow the procedures that he or she has been trained against as recorded in their training record.
Responsibility to observe the safety obligations of an employee in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2004.
Responsibility for informing the Quality Control Officer and/or Senior Supervisor of any concerns with Quality of product of safety
Responsibility to oversee the Process Worker and Machine Operators and provide advice/assistance when needed
Responsibility to carefully conduct housekeeping procedures and production maintenance as requested by the Senior Supervisor
Responsibility to organize morning tea and lunch breaks
Authority to rework product identified as non-conforming (as authorized by Production Supervisor)
EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical knowledge and experience with PET blow moulders/robots
Forklift Licence (Preferred, not essential)
Supervisory Experience
