AddressReporting to the Despatch Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the yard activities to ensure the correct quality and quantities of product are loaded /unloaded in the yard.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Lead safe and efficient freight handling while achieving quality targets.• Ensure tiles loaded onto trucks meet QA standards to exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in the yard and coordinate timely product deliveries.
• Print and distribute delivery dockets and manage loading operations as required.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality Assurance to manage stock and maintain precise records.
• Conduct stocktakes and Toolbox Talks, ensuring safety and quality in dispatch operations.
• Operate forklifts with strict safety protocols, halting operations if necessary to prevent risks.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHSE policies and procedures.
• Uphold operational procedures and ensure team communication for seamless yard functioning.
• Facilitate continuous learning and process improvements within the team.
• Keep the yard orderly and conduct training to enhance team skills.
• Complete and verify yard reports for thoroughness and accuracy.
Success Requirements: • In-depth understanding of Transport Operations and familiarity with Building Products.
• Possess a valid Forklift License.
• Dedicated to maintaining high safety standards.
• Proficient in computer applications.
• Effective leadership and team management capabilities.
