Shift Supervisor

As we continue to expand our operations, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join the team working an 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth.
  
The Shift Supervisor will supervise and control all aspects of production, to produce budgeted production output in a safe, sustainable, cost-effective manner to meet customer specifications.
  
Responsibilities:

• Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner, and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Foreman and Site Project Manager
• Perform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations
• Support the Mining Superintendent in the development and implementation of weekly and daily plans for operations and maintenance
• Conduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetings
• Liaise with any contractors on site, ensuring their work is coordinated with other mining activities
• Recognise hazards and fill out the appropriate documentation
• Take the lead on explosiveness awareness, tagging procedures, JSAs and fatigue management

The successful candidate should possess the following

• Manual Driver’s licence
• 5 Years Underground experience
• 2-4 years’ supervisory experience
• Working Safely at Heights Certificate
• Underground Shift Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability and computer skills, quick learner, very good written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and reliable work ethic, demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lead people
• Current Applied First Aid certificate
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
