Locations for Permanent Positions:
- Early Childhood Teacher at Irymple Kindergarten (Thursday and Friday sessions) - 15.00 hours per week - Immediate Start
- Early Childhood Teacher at St Margaret's Kindergarten (Tuesday and Thursday sessions) - 22.50 hours per week - Immediate Start
- Permanent Relief Diploma Educator (Tuesday) - 8.50 hours per week - Immediate Start. May be combined with other advertised positions.
- Diploma Educator at St Margaret's Kindergarten (Tuesday and Thursday Lunch Covers) - 3.00 hours per week - Term 3 Start

Shine Bright EYM core purpose is to foster a healthy and active Early Childhood community working together to provide quality education and care for young children. Each kindergarten has an Educational Leader supported by a team comprised of Bachelor, Diploma and/or Certificate 3 Qualified Staff. We also have a designated Early Years Advisor (Bachelor Trained and Experienced) for each kindergarten who actively supports the staff through regular visits.

About the roles:
Early Childhood Teacher:
The Teacher provides high quality developmentally appropriate, educational programs for kindergarten aged children in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework. To be responsible for developing and providing an educational program which contributes to the following outcomes for each child as per the Education and Care Services National Regulations Reg. 73
- The child will have a strong sense of identity
- The child will be connected with and contribute to his/her world
- The child will have a strong sense of wellbeing
- The child will be a confident and involved learner
- The child will be an effective communicator
The teacher meets regularly with Educational Leader to discuss the development, implementation and critical reflection of the educational program. As the Teacher you will develop collaborative relationships with families that supports and values families’ expertise and beliefs and allows for families to contribute to decision making about their child’s learning and wellbeing. You will also develop collaborative relationships with colleagues to support the further development of skills and improve practice.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Holding a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
- A VIT Registration
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Australian Teaching Standards
Diploma Educator
Providing quality education and care to children and supports learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework. In collaboration with the teacher, the Diploma Educator documents the educational program including assessments of each child’s developmental needs, interests, experiences and their participation in the program. As the Diploma Educator you will develop collaborative relationships with families that supports and values families’ expertise and beliefs and allows for families to contribute to decision making about their child’s learning and wellbeing. You will also develop collaborative relationships with colleagues to support the further development of skills and improve practice.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Early Childhood Educator with a passion to educate children and work in a collaborative manner with their colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their professionalism, flexibility, leadership, ability to work with others and to foreground First Nations perspectives in their pedagogy and practice.
- Qualification in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Current Working with Children Check
- Experience working with children essential.
- Experience working in kindergarten settings desirable.
