Shipping Executive

A leader in the Australian Designer space -this stunning brand designs across evening, bridal and RTW. With a focus on elegant and timeless pieces and signature style – they have thriving retail, wholesale and eCommerce channels, based out of their HQ in Alexandria.

The Role |

We are now recruiting for a Shipping Executive to join them in a newly created role – tasked with streamlining processes around incoming and outgoing shipments across production, international and domestic wholesale and retail. 

This newly created role is responsible for managing and processing all shipments along with organising and maintaining all stock levels through their system.

• Authorise inbound Freight bookings, maintain PO Tracker and expected delivery dates to ensure stock arrival is accurate
• Primary contact for Freight Forwarders to provide customs documentation and to coordinate inbound deliveries
• Evaluate and validate freight invoice charges - maintain quoted rates
• Accurately and efficiently managing Transfer Orders between company locations
• Support Production and Dispatch team authorising and completing RM Transfer Orders
• Prepare shipments for export to offshore suppliers of raw materials and trims, provide accurate shipping details and invoices
• Prepare wholesale shipments for export
• Develop best practice processes and continual improvement projects

The Skillset |

Our ideal candidate must be a team player with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience in using NetSuite or in a freight forwarding, shipping or warehouse position is highly advantageous. Experience with customs shipments is essential for this role.

• Ability to meet daily goals and deadlines
• Demonstrate effective time management skills
• High attention to detail
• Previous experience in freight forwarding and inward shipments is advantageous
• Experience with industry systems such as NetSuite, SAP or similar is advantageous
• Intermediate computer skills and MS office knowledge
• Comfortable in working independently on tasks as well as contributing to team activities and meetings
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience working with paper orders and receipts
• Reliable and strong work ethic

You are required to have full working rights and be able to commute to their Alexandria based head office – this role is onsite full time.
