Job description

Our client is a highly respected and growing Ground Engineering contractor working across design and construction services for: piling, grouting, earth retention, civil construction and civil / geotechnical engineering.

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Shotcrete Nozzleman to contribute to ongoing and various ground engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of shotcrete application techniques and possess the ability to operate shotcrete equipment efficiently and safely. The Shotcrete Nozzleman will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and durability of various concrete structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate shotcrete equipment including shotcrete pumps, hoses, and nozzles.
  • Prepare surfaces for shotcrete application by cleaning, prepping, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
  • Monitor concrete mix consistency and adjust as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Control the flow and trajectory of shotcrete to achieve desired thickness and surface finish.
  • Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate shotcrete application with other project activities.
  • Perform routine maintenance on shotcrete equipment to ensure functionality and prevent downtime.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Shotcrete Nozzleman or similar role in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of shotcrete application techniques and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Certification or training in shotcrete application techniques (preferred)
  • Experience working on ground engineering or slope stability projects (preferred)
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
