Signalling Design Engineer
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Signalling Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Melbourne Office
As a Signalling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of Signalling systems for rail projects. You will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that their Signalling solutions meet the needs of their clients and are delivered on time and within budget.
If you were to be successful for this position, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Develop Signalling designs and solutions for railway projects, including Signalling plans, circuit diagrams, and control tables.
- Ensure that all Signalling designs comply with relevant safety, quality, and technical standards.
- Work with project managers to deliver Signalling solutions on time and within budget.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine Signalling requirements and identify potential issues.
- Provide technical support to project teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments and identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies and techniques into Signalling designs.
- Statement of Competency in Signalling Design for Melbourne Projects
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience in Signalling Design for rail projects. (Ideally within Australia)
- Strong knowledge of signalling systems, including interlocking, train control, and communication.
- Familiarity with relevant technical and safety standard.
- Experience with Signalling Design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
