Signalling Engineer - Testing and Commissioning

Your new role 

We are looking for an experienced Signalling T & C Engineer to join the team for a 6-month contract role. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with sub-system designers, attending site interface meetings, and validating installation method statements for complex telecommunications projects and security systems for mass transportation.

As a Signallling T & C Engineer, you will collaborate with engineering teams to track status and drive system fixes & Feature Requests, provide technical ability in problem-solving, and communicate with all internal stakeholders, escalating blockers and issues to team leaders. You should also have knowledge of international standards and local standards, communications and control systems, and experience in the railway field of operational support systems.

Your key activities and responsibilities will include:

• Validating customised detailed installation designs
• Reviewing and approving material supplied by the installation contractor
• Performing site surveys and inspections & installation audits
• Lead the transition activities between the install contractor and test and commissioning, and managing the responding to main contractor.

What you'll need to succeed 

We are seeking 5 years of experience in major infrastructure projects, along with hands-on experience with installation and commissioning of signalling systems. You will have the ability to demonstrate basic technical troubleshooting and case management skills and understand local Workplace Health & Safety requirements and relevant regulations surrounding installation. In addition, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess excellent written and spoken communication skills.
