This role, a Hawk 127Simulator Flying Instructor, will be responsible to the Air Combat and ISR Program Manager and will report to the Hawk Lead Instructor for provision of training, administrative and subject matter expertise support applicable to Introductory Fighter Course training and liaise with other fleet instructional staff.
This role will be located in RAAF Base Williamtown.
The role we are offering you:
- Conduct and develop aircrew training events for customer pilots.
- Conduct comprehensive briefings and debriefings to ensure that the customer pilot is aware of their expected and actual performance during training events.
- Evaluate and document customer pilot performance and progress during training sessions in the relevant recording and reporting tool in a timely manner.
- Communicate with simulator maintenance technicians to report identified simulator problems or malfunctions.
- Complete all initial and recurrent training activities required to establish and maintain licensing, qualification and instructor standardisation as required by CAE and/or regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to the provision of a professional, safe and harmonious working environment.
- Provide CAE management with feedback on customer satisfaction, expectations and requirements.
- Hold, or ability to gain, a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or recognised equivalent experience.
- Hold, or have held, a Military QFI or OFI qualification.
- Possess qualifications and experience necessary to be able to be authorised by the Commanding Officer of RAAF Central Flying School, or delegate, as a competent Simulator Instructor.
- Minimum 1000 hours on Hawk.
- Previous instructional experience Hawk 127 or similar fast jet aircraft.

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
