Whitehaven Coal is Australia's largest independent coal producer and the leading coal producer in Northwest New South Wales with a lifespan of 25 years. 

About the role 

FIFO opportunities exist for Experienced Production Operators located in the greater Gold Coast area. We are seeking Single and Multiskilled operators with proven mining experience to join our production crew on a 7/7 roster at a major Open Cut coal mine in the Gunnedah Basin. 

Enjoy a short private charter flight from Gold Coast to Narrabri NSW, along with door to door pick up (return) to the airport, meaning we've taken all the travel logistics and long airport check ins and away from you. 

• Dump Truck Operators - $53.60 per hour (Earn up to $144K a year inclusive of hourly allowances) 
• Multiskilled Operators - $57.10 per hour (Earn up to $152K a year inclusive of hourly allowances) 
• Digger Operators - $57.10 per hour (Earn up to 164K a year inclusive of hourly allowances) 

What you will be doing 

You will be operating one or more of the following machines: 
• CAT 789s, Hitachi EH3500, & EH5000 Dump Trucks 
• CAT 777D, 773E Watercarts 
• D10, D11, 475, Wheel Dozer 854 Dozers 
• 16M & 24M Graders 
• CAT 992, KOM WA1200 Wheel Loaders 
• Hitachi EX3600, EX5600 & EX8000 Excavators

What you will need 

• 12 months production mining experience operating both Electric and Mechanical Haul Trucks 
• Verification of Competencies or signed skills list from a previous mine to validate previous operating experience
• Australian Driver's Licence 
• Right to Work in Australia 
• Ability to undertake a NSW Order 43 Coal Board Medical
