Fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Research Professional to lead our research team at Holdsworth House Medical Practice. We are a unique research unit within a busy, inner city, boutique medical practice in Sydney, specialising in phase Ib - IV clinical trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas including vaccines, dermatology, immunology, vaccines and infectious diseases. The successful candidate will be working alongside a highly experienced research team and have significant peer support from other experienced managers at our sister business.
The successful candidate will have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for medical research and want to take the next step in their career by leading a highly regarded research team. You will be working alongside a fantastic team of doctors and specialists and be leading studies across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
The role:
- Manage a team of research staff including Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Assistants and Recruitment Coordinators.
- Oversee study portfolio planning, budget monitoring, and resource allocation.
- Planning new research projects and clinical trials from start-up to close-out, including feasibility assessments, resource allocation, study design and determination of study visit schedules, and initiate proposal and protocol preparation.
- Providing support to research coordinators and assistants in all clinical trial and research development areas
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships with sponsors and relevant study stakeholders
- Contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives, demonstrating a dedication to identifying and enhancing processes.
- Actively participating as a member of the Management team.
Essential:
- Relevant Degree Qualifications (eg. Nursing, Life Sciences)
- Prior experience in clinical trials and research coordination
- Well developed communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of clients
- Exceptional organisational skills, time management, planning and attention to detail
Desirable:
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Senior Research Coordinator or Management Experience
- Pathology collection skills including venepuncture and reading ECG's
Remuneration is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
You must have full unrestricted rights to work in Australia to qualify for this role.
