Our client is looking for a Site Construction Manager (on Contract)
to join our Construction team. This position is based at the project site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the Construction team this position will be accountable for the following tasks:
On-site Construction Management
Reviewing the Contractor’s site progress, safety management, quality, and
environmental compliance during construction, testing and commissioning phase.
Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the
construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable.
Monitoring adherence to the site management plans during construction.
Reviewing HSE plans with HSE manager and undertaking site safety inspections.
Ensuring contractor’s compliance with DA conditions relevant to the construction phase.
Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements.
Ensuring works at Site are carried out in accordance with IFC drawings and Principal’s
Project Requirements.
Responding to technical RFIs from the Contractor in conjunction with Owners Engineer.
Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for the site progress.
Liaising with landowners, community, local council stakeholders.
Managing site coordination meetings with Substation and EPC Contractors and ensure
coordination and alignment.
Developing and managing punch lists.
Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.
Providing support to Sydney office in collating the information required for the Project.
High level review of As-built documentation.
Post Construction
Reviewing completion of punch list items.
Undertaking final inspection.
Providing effective handover to Asset Management and O&M teams.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERTISE:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or related field.
5+ years Utility scale projects experience. Experience in managing BESS/Solar
projects preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for quality.
Excellent contract knowledge and ability to adhere to obligations under the contract.
Experience in coordinating with various contractors and consultants.
Experience in planning, organising, and coordinating delivery requirements.
