About the role
We're seeking a Site Engineer - M12/EDC to support the Senior Project Engineer, Area Manager and Construction Director with the management and delivery of the construction of the M7-M12 Integration Project works encompassing the Elizabeth Drive Connection (EDC) and M7-M12 Interchange (M12). You'll get the chance to shape Sydney's west, easing congestion and creating a new link to the future Western Sydney Airport.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Assist in the management and delivery of the construction of a designated section of works (M12/EDC) providing support to the project team
- Complete HSE observations in line with project expectations and contribute positively to the project safety culture
- Assist the project team in administering the D&C Contract and aid the D&C Contractor by identifying areas of risk, facilitating and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Monitor Contractor's quality performance, documentation and quality control processes
- Undertake program reviews and ensure documentation is being developed and submitted in timeframes required under the D&C Contract
- Provide advice to the project team on proposed construction methodologies as well as assist with monitoring and reporting on the project including progress, risks, interfaces, safety, environment, traffic, operational issues, etc, through a variety of mediums
- Promote and maintain ongoing relationship with all key stakeholders
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- An open, constructive and collaborative communication style as you'll interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, while remaining proactive in your approach to key deadlines/deliverables
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships, resolve conflict, obtain cooperation, handle negotiation effectively and develop collaborate working relationships in an environment where there is a conflict of priorities or use of resources
- Bachelor and/or Masters qualifications in Civil Engineering and relevant site experience (desirable)
- Experience in a large and complex construction or engineering project from project initiation to delivery and handover to the client
- Experience in and understanding of the proper administration of construction and/or civil engineering contracts including legal principles applicable to such contracts
- A safety-first mindset, continuously looking to improve the projects safety, environmental and sustainability culture
