Reporting to the Southern Regional Manager, the Onsite Maintenance and Install Operator will pivot between the Warehouse and Onsite Installation and Maintenance. The Warehouse activities are preparatory to the onSite Installation and maintenance activities. Your duties will require the preparation of filtration cartridges, onSite Installation and servicing of a variety of stormwater filtration systems

Ocean Protect over the years has undergone, and continues to experience, significant growth and expansion. This position is therefore important in helping manage our growth by facilitating the smooth delivery of stormwater maintenace solutions in the Melbourne region.
The Onsite Maintenance and Install Operator will need to be hands-on, technical, energetic, enthusiastic and have a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction/instruction. You must be looking to grow into a leadership role within the Ocean Protect team. Your duties will consist of:
Warehouse operations
- Assembly of our product line. Use of filling hoppers to fill filter cartridges.
- Able to use drop saw, bench drill to assist in putting orders together
- Packing Orders for dispatch. Loading pallets, using pallet wrapping machine
- Daily use of forklift
- Loading/unloading of delivery trucks
- Unloading containers
- Stocktaking
- Have some experience working in this area and a decent knowledge of OH&S requirements
On site works
- Installation of our product line on site, laying out of pipework inside concrete tanks. Working inside concrete pits on site
- Working inside Stormwater tanks in confined spaces. Comfortable in the use of CS equipment
- Concrete pouring experience. Able to read basic layout drawings. Basic pouring/screeding of concrete.
Key skills
- Comfortable working on own or in a team environment
- Be able to take direction/instruction
- Be smart and comfortable working on your own initiative,
- Be able to problem solve on site to get the works completed.
- Capacity to follow basic layout drawings
- Your should not have issues with working in underground tanks in a confined space (Confined Space ticket would be an advantage but, if not, we will sponsor you for training.
- Forklift Licence
- White Card (work in building & construction)
- Full clean drivers Licence
- Truck Licence (an advantage)
- Must have own transport
Work Emphasis
The company places a serious emphasis on work safety in both the warehouse an onsite ensuring self and those around are also working safely.
Skills required.
- A results driven person.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a trade would be an advantage.
- Previous onsite experience an advantage
- A positive methodical work attitude and a drive to succeed.
The work is largely based in Melbourne with some activity in the broader Victorian Region.
As an important member of a small and highly skilled team, you will have the drive and commitment to “make it happen” working closely with the company’s regional manager and national operations manager.

Remuneration
$85,000 + Super + Car

- A highly competitive base remuneration package in line with your experience level ranging from $85,000, plus superannuation.
- A car allowance will be paid.
