The Role
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Labourer to join the Industrial Division who is a highly motivated and dynamic individual. The position will be full time, Monday-Friday, and will be based on the Sunshine Coast.
Responsibilities- Assist with the set up and preparation of the construction site, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are available and in good working condition.
- Perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving construction materials, tools, and debris as directed by the Site Manager.
- Support tradespeople and other team members by providing assistance with tasks such as concrete pouring, formwork assembly, and general construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including regular removal of debris and waste materials to designated disposal areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety guidelines.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment, both on and off-site.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings to stay informed about project updates and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Report any issues, concerns, or incidents to the Site Manager promptly.
- Previous experience in construction or labour-intensive roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Ability to follow instructions and carry out tasks efficiently.
