Role objective
To oversee all site facilities ensuring that the requirements of the Quality Management and Work Health and Safety Systems (WHS) are met and that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and have the necessary skills and competency to comply with these systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an efficient and cost-effective production and distribution process.
- Maintain and implement manufacturing, distribution and purchasing strategy aligned to company objectives.
- Manage HACCP quality system for product, grading, and distribution processes.
- Provide a safe and clean work environment for all employees.
- Adherence to WHS procedures, SOPs, and assist in ensuring a positive safety culture and ensuring staff compliance.
- Cost management to budget and reporting to leadership.
- Oversee effective continuous improvement processes.
- Effective performance management of direct reports
- Accident and incident reports are completed and sent through to the WHS Manager.
- Manage core site performance KPIs and SLIs.
- Identify and report maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the legal requirements of Export Control Rules (i.e. Egg and Egg Products).
- Conduct and assess staff training to ensure they can undertake the required tasks.
- Ensure staff undertaking activities having an impact on Food Safety or compliance with legislative requirements are provided with the necessary training and education.
Key Ingredients for Success ...
- Significant 'hands-on' working experience in a similar Poultry Farm Management capacity.
- Forklift licence and First Aid certification, with solid computer skills, analysis, and reporting ability.
- Budget (P&L) management and highly developed people leadership skills and working experience.
- Demonstrated WHS knowledge and commitment to safety at every juncture.
