About the Role!

An experienced QBCC Licenced Site Manager in volume building. A full-time role to join our Construction Teams at our Logan Village Amber Resort. The Residential role would suit someone who has worked on town houses or similar. The current Site Manager (moving to a new site further north) will be there to do a handover and the team, are seasoned and understand their roles at the site, you need to walk in and continue to give them direction, keep the quality to a high standard and ensure they are running to schedule. At Living Gems/GemLife this is one of many resorts that we are currently in construction for plus have many more that we will be starting construction in our long pipeline of work.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing all aspects of construction on site ensuring compliances & quality are maintained.
• Scheduling and supervising contractors, subcontractors, labour and equipment resources.
• Managing and coordinating the site Labourers and Operators daily duties.
• Liaising with local authorities, utility providers and design consultants.
• Sourcing local trade contractors.
• Attending to project and contract administration duties.
• Advising on construction efficiencies and troubleshoot where necessary.
• Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards.
• Working within established project budgets and agreed timelines.

About You!

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• QBCC Licence essential and relevant qualification in Building & Construction
• A trade background and experience in high volume residential construction or commercial construction experience
• OH&S qualifications
• A detailed understanding of the development process from design, approval and construction delivery
• Local industry knowledge and established networks
• Drivers Licence
• Excellent management and communication skills
• Proactive and action oriented, someone who takes responsibility and delivers the agreed outcomes.
• Calm and confident under pressure and able to adapt to challenging situations and embrace change.
• Comfortable with problem solving and the ability to share a vision and take others' ideas on board
• Previous experience with building software preferably Onsite Companion but not essential
