About the opportunity
You will effectively project manage the procurement and construction of the assigned project to ensure its completion in accordance with project objectives; including: design criteria, safety, costs, quality, time and environmental management. This position is locally based in Port of Brisbane.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and reviewing construction planning and monitoring progress to ensure all elements of the project are on schedule and within budget; taking corrective action as required.
- Ensuring construction is undertaken in accordance with quality, safety and environmental requirements.
- Ensuring adequate resources to deliver key project requirements in line with the program, budget and contractual arrangement.
- Liaise with local workshop and personnel.
Minimum requirements for this role include the following:
- Trade background with experience in structural remediation and mechanically installation.
- Relevant experience in project management, with a mechanical background.
- Demonstrated effective management of whole of project to deliver work.
- Commercial experience to include project planning through full project life cycle.
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead a team of 10-15 personnel as well as sub-contractors.
- Ability to provide the required reporting to the client and head office.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
