In Australia, the company is developing 1.5GW of solar and storage projects across the National Electricity Market (NEM) and operating a 200MW solar farm (BlueGrass Solar Farm, Queensland).
Reporting to the Country Manager, and based in Melbourne, we are looking for a Site & Permitting Manager.
What will you do?
- Strategic Development Leadership: Develop and refine project strategies, aligning with business goals. Coordinate internal departments for legal compliance and project optimization.
- Stakeholder Management and Oversight: Manage relationships with communities, government, and internal teams. Oversee project timelines, budget, and risk mitigation.
- Project Support and Coordination: Assist in site prospecting and permit management. Support commercial and construction departments in reporting and analysis.
- Investment Opportunity Evaluation: Assess third-party development pipeline for investment. Supervise due diligence and support commercial departments in financial matters.
- Internal Coordination and Reporting: Coordinate project progress for internal investment approvals. Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, focusing on development strategy.
What we are looking for?
- Tertiary education in a relevant field such as engineering, environment, science or business related fields.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in power or renewable energy project development including identification of sites, negotiation of land leases or options, securing grid connections and planning and environmental approvals.
- Deep experience in large-scale project development and management, with a strong preference for Australian solar or storage projects.
- Evidence of both strategic and operational perspectives.
- Evidence of high-functioning relationship management skills in a flexible work environment.
