Site Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Site Project Engineer to join our team!

About the role:  
Provision of Project Engineering to achieve effective delivery of Wasco’s Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC) projects:

• to the highest level of safety, environment, community & stakeholder requirements;
• to meet agreed quality, operability, schedule and cost targets; and
• in strict accordance with the relevant standards and statutory & regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Development of work scopes for engineering partners, vendors and other external providers
• Participation in risk assessments and maintaining risk registers
• Management and coordination of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Vendor technical and pricing enquiries (RFPs)
• Procurement of materials and equipment as required.
• Cost estimation, budget development, and cost to complete forecasting
• Development of project schedules and execution plans
• Compliance with all documented policies and procedures and verbal instructions.
• Take ownership of own actions and encourages contribution of others
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders and foster teamwork and trust 

Qualifications and skills required:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred)
• Strong technical skills 
• Previous background experience in piping and pipelines preferred 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively work as a member of a team
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated track record of delivering successful process engineering projects on time and within budget
