Your new role
Designing and implementing processes, tools, automation, and libraries to enhance the reliability of services across our organisation. You’ll collaborate with various teams to ensure that reliability best practices and tools are consistently applied to all services. Additionally, you’ll foster a reliability-focused culture by establishing processes, policies, and practices related to SLAs, error budgets, incident resolution, and observability.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficiency in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting distributed systems, with the ability to optimise code and automate routine tasks.
- Familiarity with microservices deployments and container technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration tasks, including cluster management, nodepool upgrades, pod scaling, and job scheduling.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and LDAP.
- Understanding of resiliency techniques and patterns, including load balancing, throttling, back pressure, and circuit breaking.
- Familiarity with networking protocols like TCP, HTTP/2, and WebSockets.
- Skill in establishing monitoring and observability tooling to maintain platform stability.
