The role and team
Join our brand new security team for our healthcare client's state of the art manufacturing facility based in Clayton, starting on 1 August 2024. This role will lead a customer focused team of twenty. Reporting to the Service Solutions Manager, you'll ensure effective supervision of our Security team - from Security Supervisors, Control Room Operators, Patrol Officers and Concierge staff. This role will see you liaising directly with external and internal stakeholders, maintaining adequate and effective coverage throughout the site, and process improvement initiatives - including developing & implementing standard operating procedures. In this role you will:
- Manage and train all staff, and design rosters in collaboration with our Security Supervisors.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Review all daily shift logs and incident reports.
- Report and discuss all incidents with our client's Vice-President of Corporate Security and take appropriate follow up action.
- Champion staff development, including identifying individual training needs and providing staff feedback.
- Coordinate security and emergency responses, as per established procedures and plans.
What we're looking for
- Minimum Certificate III Security Operations
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Current First Aid & CPR qualifications, or willing to obtain this prior to employment
