We are opening an expression of interest to those who may be interested to be engaged as an Situational Incidence Response Officer on our Transurban contract. The role provides first response services to traffic incidents on various motorways and tunnels in Brisbane.
You will be required to work a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts which are part of a rotating roster with both day and night work required (similar to emergency services rosters), approximately every 4 weeks you get 5 days off consecutively and accrue 5 weeks annual leave per year. Your shifts commence at Stretton, Murarrie and Bowen Hills.

What you will be doing
- First responder to traffic accidents / breakdowns along major roads and highways including the AirportlinkM7, Clem7, Legacy Way, Inner City Bypass, Go Between Bridge and the Gateway and Logan Motorways
- Work towards the safety of your team, commuters and other related parties whilst engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents
- Ensure optimum safe lane availability and relay up-to-date information to the public, supervisors and the wider response team
- Operate and range of vehicles to assist with all aspects of civil maintenance (including rubbish removal, attenuator truck and tow trucks)
- Work closely with emergency services and as well as provide basic first aid and firefighting when required and safe to do so
- Emergency repair work for road network restoration and to return the roads to normal operational condition
