Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Australia are on the lookout for a highly motivated Incident Response Specialist to join the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). This role has the responsibility for the security monitoring, investigating and responding to critical business system incidences involving undefined profiles or multiple system involvement.

The Incident Response Specialist role will be dedicated to building a regional SOC capability for Australia & Oceana while serving as the primary point of contact between the Enterprise Cybersecurity Operations Center and Boeing Defence Australia, Boeing Aerostructures Australia, Insitu Pacific and other Boeing subsidiaries in region. 

This hybrid role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and will involve some domestic travel between locations when needed. Being part of a truly global team means much flexibility is available, noting that some calls will be held outside traditional working hours.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs detailed systems analysis to identify intrusion or incident path. Performs event correlation, malware analysis and simulation.
  • Determines the scope and content of system and program data loss.
  • Researches undefined technical response methods, tools and processes.
  • Defines standardized response profiles.
  • Performs Incident Response activities across various environments, technology profiles and multiple systems.
  • Determines nature, mechanisms, scope and location of the incident.
  • Collects and preservers evidence, identifies intrusion or incident path and method.
  • Drafts incident/investigation reports and makes recommendations for future process enhancements.
  • Supports automated response and playbooks for security incidents and alerts.
  • Supports day-to-day SOC operations including Incident Response to regional incidents.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 5+ years Incident Response experience with understanding of risk management, governance, and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity with a specific focus on business outcomes and service delivery.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of network security specifically related to monitoring, log event correlation and malware analysis.
  • Effective Time management, communication and organizational skills and a self-starter.
  • Integration of logging solutions across various platforms and environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Cyber Security Operation Center experience in monitoring, Incident Response, or digital forensics.
  • Effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate to all levels of management.
  • Be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations.
  • CISSP, Security+ or other cybersecurity certifications.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements with the ability to obtain NV2 clearance.
